About the Farm
Background
The farm has been dedicated to raising highland/gelbvieh cross cattle and dorper sheep, focusing on producing quality meat products. They have a history of offering seasonal lamb meat by the quarter and eggs, with plans to introduce beef sales in 2017.
Practices
The farm employs a grazing system where cattle and sheep are forage-fed and finished on a small amount of locally grown oats. Cattle are never fed grain. Calving and lambing occur outside in warm weather on grass, with zero confinement. Meat processing and vacuum sealing are conducted at a USDA inspected facility.
The Rest
Lamb meat is available in various cuts, with pricing inclusive of processing and vacuum sealing. Shipping is available upon request for an additional cost. The farm also offers breeding stock for sale and personal consulting in Holistic Management Grazing Planning and Biological Monitoring.
