Help build the most complete local farm directory
How it works
Find a listing
Browse farms, markets, and events near you. If a place isn't listed yet, add it yourself.
Update what you know
Hours changed? New phone number? Better description? Sign in and edit it. No approval needed — your changes go live immediately.
Everyone benefits
Every edit improves the directory for your whole community. Staff reviews changes and can revert anything that doesn't look right.
Is this your farm?
If you own or operate a farm that's listed on RootSeller, you can claim it. Claiming gives you full control over your listing — update your name, type, and location, and choose whether it's published or hidden.
Community editors can still help keep your contact info, descriptions, and links up to date. You stay in control of the important stuff.

Rootseller caters to three main groups:
- Consumers: Whether you're a seasoned farmers market enthusiast or someone curious about incorporating more locally-grown, organic produce into your diet, Rootseller helps you discover and connect with local food sources.
- Producers: We welcome all food growers, from small-scale farmers to home gardeners with surplus produce, and even artisanal food creators like small-batch bakers.
- Businesses: Our growing network offers unique advertising opportunities and facilitates connections between food industry businesses and local producers, streamlining the sourcing of fresh, local ingredients.
Rootseller is currently free for both users and growers who wish to list their information in our directory. We're developing premium features for growers who want to access advanced marketing and outreach tools. Stay tuned for updates on these upcoming paid options!

We've aggregated publicly available data on farms from various online sources. Our in-house software extracts and categorizes this information. While this approach has allowed us to create a comprehensive initial database, we'd like it to lead to a thriving network where each farm profile is actively managed and maintained by you, the farm owner.
If you find any incorrect information or wish to have your listing removed, please let us know. We're committed to maintaining accurate and up-to-date information with your help.
If you find your farm already listed, you can claim ownership of the listing to start managing it directly. Here's how:
- Log into your account (or sign up).
- Click the "Manage" button on the farm's public page.
- OR, click the user profile button in the top right, and click "Claim a Listing" in the dropdown.
We'll reach out to verify your affiliation with the farm. If you prefer not to be listed on our site, please contact us, and we'll remove your listing.
Actively managing your farm's profile on Rootseller offers several advantages:
- Increased visibility to potential customers searching for local food options
- Opportunity to reach consumers beyond your regular farmers market attendees
- Control over your farm's online presence and the information presented to potential customers
- Ability to showcase your unique offerings and farming practices
- Potential for increased sales and customer base as our network grows
Your Rootseller profile serves as a digital storefront, often providing the first impression to potential customers. A well-maintained profile can significantly impact a customer's decision to visit your farm stand or seek out your products at local markets.
Currently, our event listings are compiled from various third-party sources. While users can't add events directly at this time, we're considering this feature for future updates. If you're interested in this functionality, please let us know – your feedback helps shape our development priorities!
We value your input and are always looking to enhance our platform. To share your thoughts, suggestions, or feedback:
