About

Background

Located in Cuba, MO, this small family farm began as a personal endeavor to provide high-quality food for the family, frustrated by the poor quality available at supermarkets. As word spread, demand grew, prompting the transition from hobby to business to offer clean food to a wider community.

Practices

Using rotational grazing methods, the farm raises pigs on pasture where they forage for clover, acorns, apples, pears, roots, and leaves, supplemented with grain. The pigs are not ringed, allowing them to root naturally. Chickens are also pasture-raised without hormones or antibiotics, and their laying cycles are not artificially extended with light. Heirloom tomatoes are grown without chemicals, adhering to organic practices despite the lack of formal certification. No chemicals are used anywhere on the farm.

Of note

Once a month, the farm opens its gates to the public to offer their products. Updates on these events can be found on their Facebook page.
