About

Background

For over 100 years, this family heritage farm has been a landmark in the community, known for its diversified and sustainably run operations. The orchards boast many varieties of fruit trees, some dating back to the first planted in the state. Owned and operated by the Wilson family for more than 130 years, the farm has a rich history of providing high-quality produce to local markets.

Practices

The farm employs minimal tillage, crop rotation, and cover cropping to manage soil health and control noxious weeds. Their integrated pest management program utilizes pheromones, chickens, organically certified materials, and a minimal amount of soft FDA-approved products, all under the guidance of Washington State University's Cooperative Extension. The focus is on picking naturally ripened produce and delivering it the same day to ensure freshness.

Of note

Visitors are encouraged to attend tours during October or follow the farm on Facebook for updates on UPick dates and on-farm events. The farm is committed to land stewardship and welcomes any questions regarding their practices.
