Since 1984, this farm has been cultivating the land in Pownal, Vermont, achieving organic certification in 1989. As the oldest organic farm in Bennington County, it has built a reputation for quality and freshness in its produce and eggs. The farm has been a staple at the Bennington Farmers Market and offers a CSA program to the community.
The farm employs deep organic techniques in its intensively managed gardens, ensuring the health of the soil and the quality of the produce. The 21-acre farm, situated at an elevation of 1,400 feet, features a mix of silt loam prime agricultural soil and second growth forest. It holds certifications from Vermont Organic Certified and the Real Organic Project.
The farm hosts an annual plant sale every May, inviting the community to engage with their farming practices. They maintain an active presence on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, and offer a newsletter to keep customers informed about farm updates and promotions.
