The Borner Farm Project

Located at the confluence of the Mississippi and St. Croix rivers, the land has been farmed for over 100 years. Surrounded by residential housing, it has evolved into a community-oriented farm known for its organic produce and community engagement.

The farm employs organic methods and permaculture principles to guide its farming decisions. Emphasizing diversity, it grows a wide variety of vegetables and herbs selected for taste and nutritional value. The farm also focuses on soil health and the renovation of aging structures to maintain a sustainable and resilient farming environment.

The farm hosts community pizza nights using vegetables from the farm, operates an on-site produce market open daily, and offers a 20-week CSA program. It provides educational classes and workshops aimed at promoting self-sufficiency and sustainability. The mission includes protecting the land as a community asset for future generations.
