Starkey Farmstead

Steven and his partner operate a certified farm in Louisiana, working closely with the USDA NRCS on a three-year scholarship focused on soil health and nutrient-rich food production. They are also certified in Louisiana Agritourism and have completed a PSA food safety class. Additionally, they serve on their local 4H advisory board.

The farmstead employs organic and regenerative farming methods, emphasizing no-till market gardening on a quarter-acre plot. Crop rotation is practiced throughout the year to maintain soil health and optimize nutrient content in their produce.

The farm offers a variety of products including canned items made on-site, fresh yard eggs, fresh quail eggs, pickled quail eggs, and numerous fresh vegetables. Visitors are encouraged to call ahead to check the availability of specific crops.
