About

Background

In 2012, the founders were shocked into action by the truth of where their food came from. Starting with 25 chickens, they were delighted by the high-quality eggs their small free-range flock provided. The taste, texture, color, and nutritional value were significantly different from what they had known. This revelation led them to add cows, initially planning for one but ending up with five, discovering the amazing qualities of grass-fed beef. Over time, their herd grew to over 50, and they expanded to include pigs and rabbits. Their mission became providing the highest quality, nutrient-dense beef and pork with amazing flavor, raising heritage breeds.

Practices

Cattle are raised and finished on grass, pasture, and hay, receiving no grains at all. Pigs are raised on pasture from April to November and do not spend any time indoors, eating grasses, clovers, and free-choice non-GMO grain grown on neighboring fields. The farm does not use antibiotics, steroids, or growth hormones. Their farming philosophy emphasizes the interconnectedness of healthy soil, plants, animals, and humans, aiming to create a balanced and regenerative ecosystem.

Of note

Customers can shop online through the farm store and pick up their orders on the farm. There is also an honor system farm store on-site with popular beef and pork selections and eggs. The farm offers a variety of products, including grass-fed meats for pets, gift cards, and other goods. The founders, who did not grow up farming, have found their passion in providing wholesome and responsibly raised food.
