Background
Located in Edinboro, PA, this farm has been in operation since 1945 and is run by third-generation farmers. They began raising Piedmontese beef cattle in the early 1990s and transitioned to 100% grass-fed beef in 1995.
Practices
The farm's cattle graze on mixed grass pasture and orchard grass hay produced on the farm year-round. Livestock are treated gently and humanely, with ample room and constant access to large outdoor pastures. Chickens are pastured and locked in a spacious barn at night for their protection.
Of note
Eggs are available for pick up at the farm, while chicken must be ordered in advance and is available seasonally from spring through fall. Visitors are welcome to tour the farm, but are encouraged to call ahead.
