About
Background
Surrounded by a 450-acre nature preserve, the farm provides pesticide-free forage for bees and produces honey, eggs, and a line of all-natural skin care products under the brand 'Lee's Bees.'
Practices
No pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, or chemical products are used anywhere on the property. Free-range hens are cooped only at night and fed all-vegetable feed free of chemicals or antibiotics, supplemented with fresh fruits and vegetables. Bees forage in a pesticide-free environment.
Of note
The farm participates in farmers markets and is a member of the New Jersey Farm Bureau, with an officer in the Sussex County Branch of the New Jersey Beekeepers Association. Products include lip balms, creams, salves, soaps, and scrubs.
