Sheepy Hollow Farm / Wool & Wit LLC
About
Located in rural Armada, MI, this family cottage business has cultivated a reputation for producing a variety of organic herbs and maintaining a small 'spinners' flock of NASSA registered Shetland sheep. The farmstead is also home to registered Oberhasli dairy goats, contributing to their diverse range of handmade products.
The farm emphasizes organic cultivation methods for their lavender and herbs, ensuring they are suitable for culinary, floral, and medicinal purposes. The Shetland sheep are raised for their wool, which is transformed into unique fiber art and handmade woolens. The Oberhasli dairy goats provide fresh milk, which is used for cheesemaking, yogurt, and goat's milk soap production.
Visitors are welcome to explore the farm workshop and studio, participate in garden tours by appointment, and take classes in herbcrafts and old-world fiber arts. The farm also plans to offer Cheesemaking 101 classes.
