Background
Serenity Meadows, also known as Brutus Hardware, is located in Weedsport, NY and began with a cow named Buttercup, the 10-year-old matriarch of the herd. The farm is certified by the State of New York to sell raw milk and is regularly inspected by a state-certified inspector.
Practices
The farm's Jersey cows are born and raised on the farm and follow a complete grass-fed diet, which contributes to the creamy, nutrient-dense quality of the milk.
Of note
Milk is sold for $8.00 per gallon and $4.00 per half gallon, with a $5 glass jar deposit. Other products available include local maple syrup, local raw honey, free-range eggs, and raw milk cheddar cheese. Visits can be scheduled by calling or texting, but no sales are made on Sundays.
