Pinelog Family Farms

Pinelog Family Farms, located in Fairmount, GA, began its journey in 2011 with a CSA in Cartersville. Over the years, they have expanded their operations to about 6 acres and have participated in markets such as the F.A.R.M. market in Smyrna and the Sandy Springs Farmers Market. They have also supplied produce to notable restaurants including South City Kitchen and Muss & Turners. In 2009, they took part in the Georgia Organics mentoring program as mentees.

Embracing Certified Naturally Grown standards, the farm eschews the use of chemicals and synthetic fertilizers. Instead, they rely on natural growing methods such as crop rotations, cover crops (green manures), and composting. All seeds are started in their own greenhouse, ensuring complete control over the growing process. Most of their fruit is currently in transition to being Certified Naturally Grown, and nearly all produce is harvested on the day of delivery or market.

Potential customers are encouraged to join their CSA to enjoy fresh, naturally grown produce.
