About

Facts
25 acres total
Background

The farm, spanning 25 acres, is operated by David and Lori Crank. The name 'Oaks of Mamre Farm' is inspired by a biblical location where Abraham experienced divine intervention. The Cranks chose this name to reflect the miraculous events in their own lives, such as being blessed with more children and achieving their dream of building a debt-free home. The farm has become a place where they have witnessed many 'impossibilities' become possible.

Practices

The farm adheres to principles of natural food, sustainable agriculture, humane treatment, and fair pricing. Their poultry feed consists of certified organic, non-GMO ingredients, including grains and legumes. The land provides ample grass and bugs for the poultry, and grass and leaves for the goats. They avoid chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides, ensuring the land remains unpolluted and fertile. Animals are raised in a healthy outdoor environment with access to grass, sunshine, fresh air, and plenty of space to grow without overcrowding.

Of note

In addition to raising poultry, the farm operates an on-farm poultry processing center, offering custom processing for FFA and fair show birds as well as 'backyard' flocks. They strive to make their healthy food accessible to lower-income families by not charging the highest market prices.
