Northern Path Family Farm
About
Established in 1856 by Simon P. Kuhn, this farmstead has a rich history in Iosco Township, Michigan. Over the years, it has evolved to meet the needs of the community, now managed by dedicated farmhands who aim to provide resilient abundance year-round.
Developing the farm using Permaculture design principles, the farm follows 100% organic practices. The laying hens are fed a certified organic layer ration and free-range on pasture, receiving nutritionally-dense forage. Soil amendments are organic, contributing to improved soil health and increased fertility.
The farm offers mobile custom livestock processing for cows, sheep, goats, chickens, and turkeys. They also design and custom-build portable chicken coops, broiler tractors, and top-bar beehives. Visitors are welcome to see the systems in place that contribute to soil health and fertility. More information can be found on their website.
