Since the 1970s, the ranch has been known throughout South Texas for its high-quality hay and cattle. The ranch raises cattle on native grasses without the use of antibiotics, growth hormones, or steroids. They practice pasture rotation and maintain a carbon-positive operation. The cattle, including their own breed called Murphy's (a mix of Brahman, Hereford, and Angus), are raised to be resilient to South Texas drought conditions. The ranch also offers custom processing and USDA-inspected meats, ensuring that all products are natural and nutrient-rich.

The ranch offers a variety of cattle for sale, including cow-calf pairs, bred heifers, bulls, and steers. They also breed exotic cattle such as Zebu, Sardo Negro, Indu Brazil, and Gyr, alongside standard commercial stock. Additionally, the ranch hosts annual dove hunts for veterans and wounded warriors as a gesture of gratitude.
