Majestic Farms

The farm began in 2003 with the purchase of 23 acres and the planting of five plum trees. Over time, the orchard expanded to over 1200 trees, including peaches, pears, plums, apples, persimmons, pomegranates, nectarines, and apricots. In 2009, Ray retired from his industrial job to manage the farm full-time, dedicating himself to the day-to-day operations and continuous improvement of the orchard. Ann joined him full-time after retiring in 2022, contributing to various tasks and maintaining the farm's online presence.

The farm emphasizes hands-on care and meticulous attention to detail in maintaining the health of the trees and the quality of the fruit. Pruning dead wood and trimming limbs are crucial practices to ensure the vitality of the orchard. The farm also utilizes irrigation systems and mulch to support the growth of their fruit trees. Ray's involvement in local agricultural boards and grower groups, along with attending seminars, reflects a commitment to learning and implementing best practices in fruit cultivation.

The farm offers personal service, allowing customers to pick fruit directly from the trees or have it delivered to markets. Ann produces homemade jams, jellies, and preserves during the off-season, adding value to the farm's offerings. The farm also participates in the Hillsboro farmers market, fostering a direct connection with the local community. The orchard's diverse fruit varieties include seven types of pears and three varieties of plums, known for their excellent quality and nutritional benefits.
