About

Facts
16 acres total
Background

Originally located in Marlow, New Hampshire, the farm moved to Windsor, Vermont in 2012, and then to Kirbyville, Missouri in 2015. The farm's journal dates back to 2000. The farm has faced challenges such as harsh winters and rocky soil, but has adapted by relocating and implementing new farming practices.

Practices

The farm participates in the National Poultry Improvement Program and uses raised beds and bird manure to improve soil quality. They employ electric and woven wire fencing to manage livestock, including fainting goats, which are chosen for their timid nature. The farm focuses on raising soil quality before cultivating crops, emphasizing the importance of soil health in their farming philosophy.

Of note

The farm offers straight-run day-old chicks and a limited number of sexed pullets from June to September. They also sell straight-run goslings and geese meat at Christmas. Additionally, the farm raises Icelandic Sheepdogs for active families and farms. The farm's website features a variety of recipes and a catalog of their book collection on LibraryThing.
