About
Background
Established in 1996, the farm is situated on the slopes of Mauna Loa on the windward side of the Big Island of Hawaii. Over the years, it has become known for its diverse array of tropical and subtropical fruits.
Practices
Utilizing organic farming methods since its inception, the farm continues to adapt and learn in response to changing conditions. The volcanic ash soil and significant annual rainfall create an ideal environment for the cultivation of a wide variety of fruits.
Of note
Fruits from the farm are available at the Puna Chicks Market on Sunday afternoons. Additionally, the farm offers specialty products such as fruit purees, spices, and fragrant flowers for infusions.
