About the Farm
Background
The farm has been in the family since 1934 when Joe's grandparents settled in Allentown, initially growing potatoes, cabbage, and other vegetables. In 1977, Joe and his father Stanley Keris began planting the first Christmas trees, with the first crop harvested in 1990. Maggie started the Christmas shop in the 1990s, which has since evolved into a popular destination for hand-curated gifts, antiques, and decor.
Practices
The farm offers choose-and-cut trees priced by the foot, including varieties such as Concolor Fir, Norway Spruce, White Pine, Blue Spruce, and Canaan Fir. They also provide pre-cut Balsam and Fraser Fir trees from Canada and North Carolina, hand-selected for height and variety. Additionally, the farm offers balled and burlapped dug trees from their own fields.
The Rest
The Christmas shop features a wide selection of unique ornaments, artisan-made crafts, wreaths, Maine balsam pillows, handmade brass bells, Byers' Choice Carolers, and Fontanini Nativity sets from Italy. The farm also hosts Family Day Weekends with activities such as pony rides, visits with Santa, face painting, and more. The farm is a member of the New Jersey Christmas Tree Growers Association and the National Christmas Tree Growers Association.
