About the Farm
Background
Located in Duncanville, only 15 minutes south of Tuscaloosa, the farm began as a hobby for Bill Hewett and his son Geary in the 1970s. By the 1990s, they started selling honey to fund their pastime. Over the years, the farm has grown to supply honey locally and internationally, including a busy mail order service that frequently ships to Japan.
Practices
The farm specializes in organic honey production, ensuring that their honey is not pasteurized and maintains its natural qualities. The honey is harvested from wildflowers in Tuscaloosa and Hale counties, filled, topped, and labeled by hand, emphasizing a personal touch and commitment to quality.
The Rest
The farm offers a variety of honey package sizes, from 8 oz Honey Bears to one-gallon containers, and even comb honey upon request. Their products are available at local businesses in Tuscaloosa, directly from the farm, and through online orders. Additionally, they produce honey soap made with ground almond shells for exfoliation. Wholesale buyers within 25 miles can enjoy free delivery.
