Heikes Family Farm CSA

The Heikes families have been farmers and livestock feeders in the Siouxland area since the 1800s. The farm, located on the northeast corner of Vermillion, has been in the family since 1946. After 35 years as a Production Agronomist, Sam Heikes and his family returned to the Heikes family farm in 2010 to start the 'Heikes Family Farm Market'.

The farm sits on rich, nutrient-dense soil, which is considered the soul of the farm. They focus on producing healthy, fresh, organically-grown produce that truly tastes good. The farm supports the 'Buy Fresh Buy Local' marketing concept and believes that Community Supported Agriculture is a way to build the family business based on consumer needs and tastes.

The farm's mission is to produce healthy, fresh, organically-grown produce that really tastes good, encapsulated in their motto 'SAVOUR THE LOCAL FLAVOR'.
