Harold Koehn Grass-fed Beef
About
Since 2009, Harold Koehn Grass-fed Beef has been dedicated to raising Devon/Red Angus cross cattle on their farm located on the Texas/New Mexico stateline. The farm has been practicing rotational grazing since 1996, ensuring the cattle have access to the best grass available.
The farm focuses on building soil health by avoiding the use of chemicals on their pasture. Cattle graze on native pasture during the summer and have access to winter annuals, free choice hay, and stockpiled grass during the rest of the year. The cattle are raised from birth to market in a gentle, stress-free environment without grain, antibiotics, or added growth hormones. Rotational grazing is employed to optimize grass availability for the cattle.
The beef is processed at a local USDA Texas facility when the cattle are 22–26 months old and is available for purchase in halves or as a whole beef. By USDA standards, the beef has been rated as Choice. Customers can call for availability of the grass-finished, flavorful, and tender beef.
