First Light Farm & Learning Center
About
First Light Farm & Learning Center began in 2011, providing a place for families and friends to engage in a farm community through various programs. Known for its inclusive and educational approach, the farm has become a hub for local agriculture enthusiasts.
The farm emphasizes hands-on learning and community involvement, offering leased land for personal farming, cultural gardens for sharing knowledge of diverse foods, and a Soil to Supper program for direct harvesting. They are committed to caring for the land and water, acknowledging the ancestral stewardship of the Snoqualmie Tribal People.
The farm offers a variety of programs including a weekend u-pick experience, a CSA for convenient delivery of farm produce, and educational classes on topics like pickling, salsa making, and basket weaving. Their goal is to create a safe, inclusive farming community where everyone is welcomed.
