About

Facts
Founded 2007
Background

Mark and Heather Faye originally started their farming journey in Bayfield, Wisconsin. Seeking a warmer climate and better farming conditions, they moved their entire farm to Udall, Kansas in June 2007, bringing along 120 head of dairy cattle, 9 hogs, 3 boys, and 1 dog. Their farm is reminiscent of old-fashioned farms, much like those of previous generations.

Practices

Embracing diversity and simplicity, the farm raises livestock outdoors to benefit from green grass, fresh air, and sunshine. Animals are provided shelter during inclement weather and may be confined briefly for their protection. The farm focuses on heritage breeds such as Ayrshire cows and Hereford pigs to achieve their farming goals. Mark and Heather are committed to raising their animals in their natural environment, ensuring a slower and simpler approach to farming.

Of note

The farm also produces unique artisan lye soaps and offers a variety of farm products available for purchase. Projects and experiments are a constant part of their farming life, keeping things interesting and dynamic.
