About

Facts
Founded 1998
Background

Since 1998, this small family farm in East Texas, owned and operated by Nancy and Karl, has been producing balanced, functional traits in Miniature Hereford cows, Mid-size Red Angus, and Mini Jersey cattle. Known for their nutrient-dense food and sustainable practices, they have customers on five continents and have collaborated with the University of the Philippines. In 2007, they began focusing on A2A2 dairy genetics, establishing the Mini Rabbit Eye Jersey and French Normande breeds.

Practices

The farm employs organic and biodynamic farming methods, avoiding the use of poisonous chemicals. They hand-build much of their equipment and focus on producing the best food for themselves and their customers. About 85% of what they consume is grown on their land. Their practices have influenced neighboring farms to adopt wholistic agriculture, contributing to the healing of their local environment.

Of note

The farm offers a variety of services including internships, farm tours, and events throughout the year. They also provide premium consultations, animal evaluation and selection, live cover breeding, and certified frozen semen. Additionally, they sell proven mama cows, herd sires, heifers, and bull calves. The farm is a life member of the American Hereford Association and the Red Angus Association of America. They emphasize the tax advantages of raising mini cattle for agricultural exemptions.
