About

Facts
Founded 2009
Background

Echo Valley Farm began ten years ago with 2 gallons of fresh, raw milk. Twelve years ago, the founder was a mortgage broker when the financial markets collapsed. During that time, her mother brought her 2 gallons of fresh, raw milk, which led to a personal experiment and subsequent research into the benefits of raw milk. This newfound passion, combined with a part-time job milking a neighbor's cow, eventually led to the establishment of Echo Valley Farm. By June 2009, Tennessee law had opened herd shares, and friends began asking to buy into the cow, leading to the creation of the farm. For the last nine years, the farm has served herd sharing families in East Tennessee.

Practices

Cows are raised on grass without the use of chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides. They are supplemented with organic minerals, kelp, and Himalayan salt. The farm employs a sealed 'closed in' system for milking to protect the milk from outside contaminants during and after milking. All equipment is thoroughly cleaned and heat sanitized after each milking session.

Of note

Echo Valley Farm serves the East Tennessee area, including Knoxville, Chattanooga, Maryville, and surrounding regions, with raw, non-pasteurized, and non-homogenized milk. The farm is known for its high standards and the evident love for what they do. Customers appreciate the quality of the milk and the ability to visit the farm and see the healthy, happy cows. Testimonials from long-term shareholders highlight the farm's excellent customer service and the superior quality of its products.
