Draghi Farms
About
In 1917, the Draghi family purchased a farm on Foote Road in South Glastonbury, naming it 'A. Draghi & Sons'. Over the years, the family expanded their operations, removing rocks, planting fruit trees, and eventually purchasing additional farmland and a farm stand on Main Street in 1968. The business, now known as E. Draghi & Sons, LLC, has been passed down through generations, with Darrell Draghi currently at the helm, continuing the family tradition of farming and expanding into greenhouse operations.
The farm employs traditional farming methods, focusing on improving the land by removing rocks and planting a variety of fruit trees. The greenhouses are planted beginning in March, ensuring a vibrant selection of flowers, vegetables, and herbs by Spring. The farm emphasizes quality and customer service, with knowledgeable staff available to assist with planting suggestions and custom planting services.
The farm stand features a bakery that opens daily at 7:00 am, offering freshly brewed coffee, muffins, donuts, croissants, and a variety of pastries. The pantry shelves are stocked with Connecticut and Vermont maple syrups, local honey, jams, jellies, no-sugar preserves, fruit spreads, pickled vegetables, and an assortment of Stonewall Kitchen products. Local delivery is available for large orders, and the farm is open from the end of April until December 24th.
