Dazi Acres
About
Located on Walden's Ridge between Pikeville and Dayton, Tennessee, Dazi Acres spans 27 acres and has become known for its commitment to producing high quality meats. While not certified organic, the farm adheres to organic practices in growing and raising its animals. Open to visitors, the farm encourages transparency and offers a firsthand look at their operations.
Dazi Acres employs organic growing methods and raises animals on pasture without the use of chemicals, pesticides, hormones, antibiotics, or harmful fertilizers. The farm emphasizes land stewardship, aiming to conserve and often enhance the land they farm. Humane slaughter practices are used for their poultry, modeled after Polyface Farms in Virginia.
The farm offers a variety of meat products including pastured poultry, forest-raised pork, salad bar beef and lamb, and soy-free, pastured eggs. They also provide Meat CSAs and fresh turkeys for Thanksgiving. Pork is available year-round by the half or whole hog, or by retail cut, while chicken is available from May to October. Beef is available year-round, and lamb is available in the fall. Visitors are welcome to tour the farm, with a call ahead to ensure availability.
