Daloris Dairy
About
Daloris Dairy was started in 1986 by Dale and Doris Mortimer with just a few cows and children. Over the years, the herd grew into a beautiful collection of Jersey cows, and the family expanded to include four sons and four daughters, all of whom participated in raising, milking, and showing the cows at local and state fairs. Raising quality Jerseys has been a passion for multiple generations of Mortimers, with Dale having grown up milking Jerseys with his father. Dale’s sons, Tyler and Brett, have continued the family business, focusing on producing grade A raw, unpasteurized milk.
The farm milks fifty registered Jersey cows every morning and bottles the milk on-site in Rigby, Idaho. The cows are treated with great care, supplied with home-grown hay, and kept healthy with regular visits from a nutritionist. The operation is dedicated to the cows' well-being, resulting in excellent milk with nearly a quart of cream per gallon. The milk is bottled in glass for the purest taste.
The milk is available for pick-up at the farm, with a $3 bottle deposit and $2.25 per half-gallon refill. Plastic gallons are available upon request. The farm offers tours and operates a self-serve shop open from Monday at 10:00 a.m. to Saturday at 8:00 p.m. Customers can call or text for questions or directions. The farm emphasizes the health benefits of fresh, raw milk and encourages customers to share these benefits with friends and family.
