Crescent Creek Farm

Will French has been raising pastured pigs for three years on his 15-acre farm located just outside of Little Rock, Arkansas. He started with a focus on providing a natural environment for his pigs and has steadily improved his system over time. The farm is known for its Animal Welfare Approved (AWA) certification, which assures customers of the high standards of animal care practiced on the farm.

Will employs a rotational grazing system that moves pigs through both wooded and pasture areas, ensuring they have fresh ranging areas frequently. This method allows the pigs to root and range naturally, reducing the need for medicines and managing manure through natural processes. The farm raises three Hampshire sows and one Hereford boar, chosen for their meat quality and ease of care. The pigs are provided with a natural environment that promotes their well-being and productivity.

In addition to pigs, the farm operates a pasture-based chicken egg laying operation, which Will hopes to get AWA approved soon. Finished pigs are sold through Farm Girl Natural Foods in Perryville, AR, and Will also sells AWA piglets to other farms in the program.
