About the Farm
Background
Started in 2019 by Farmer Greg Reese, the farm is deeply rooted in the local Encinitas community, fostering close relationships with supporters and prioritizing soil health as the foundation for growing food.
Practices
The farm employs organic farming practices, valuing biodiversity and soil health above all else. They focus on growing healthy soil to produce nutritious vegetables (no till, cover crops, crop rotations).
The Rest
The farm operates a weekly farm stand on Saturdays from 9am-12pm and offers weekly CSA bags for pickup on Wednesdays at 10am. They also provide wholesale options for local restaurants, primarily supplying lettuce and salad greens. Volunteer opportunities are available on Wednesdays at 8am, and farm tours are often open for farm stand visitors.
