Burr Oak Farm
About
The farm began as a traditional, part-time operation focused on row crops and cattle, supported by off-farm jobs. Over the past few years, it has transitioned to include a variety of other agricultural activities.
The farm raises pasture-raised heavy barnyard broilers and brown eggs from pastured hens. It features a hoophouse, a small greenhouse, six raised beds, and approximately half an acre of in-ground vegetable and flower production. The farm is also developing a small dairy goat herd.
The farm sells small quantities of bedding plants in the spring and accepts credit cards and EBT. Products are available at the Lafayette County Farmers Market in Lexington, MO, on Wednesday afternoons, in Odessa, MO, on Thursday evenings from late April to the end of September, and on the farm on Saturday mornings from May through October.
