Black Oak Farm

A second generation family farm located in Shiawassee County, known for raising Berkshire and Chesterwhite hogs, both heritage breeds celebrated for their exceptional flavor.

The farm ensures humane treatment of animals, with hogs being cage-free and having constant access to fresh air. The animals are fed an all-vegetarian diet grown on the farm itself, and they do not receive antibiotics, hormones, or additives. Local organic processors employ humane techniques.

Meat is sold in frozen, small portion sealed packages, with hams and bacon free from added nitrates. The farm can fulfill special orders and welcomes visitors.
