Bay End Farm
About
Founded in 1906, the farm has been providing fresh organic produce to families through its farm stand, CSA, farmers markets, and restaurants around the Boston and Cape Cod communities since 1998. Certified organic since 2001, the farm has grown to serve 100 CSA members and has a farm stand open from mid-June to mid-October.
The farm chooses to farm organically to provide vegetables free of pesticides and herbicides, believing that organic vegetables taste better and hold higher nutritional value than conventionally raised vegetables. Volunteers are welcomed to help with all aspects of the farm, from cultivation to harvesting.
The farm offers a 20-week CSA program providing fresh, seasonal, certified organic vegetables and herbs, estimated to supply a family of four for a week. The farm stand is open Tuesday-Friday 11-6 and Saturdays 10-4. Visitors can find more information about staying at the farm on their websites. Kofi Ingersoll and Erin Koh have been managing the farm since 1998 and 1999, respectively, working to continue the family farming tradition.
