Back Forty Farms
About
Located on a 42-acre piece of heaven, the property used to be a 100-acre dairy farm in the early 1900s. The trademark red barn is 106 years old, and the farmhouse was built in 1915. Indian Creek flows through the property, adding to its scenic charm.
The farm uses certified organic seeds and relies on well water, avoiding irrigation. No pesticides or chemicals are ever used. The chickens are free-roaming, contributing to the nutritional value and vibrant color of the eggs. Pasture-raised turkeys are also part of the farm's offerings.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of animals such as chickens, goats, ducks, turkeys, and horses. Wildlife sightings may include foxes, eagles, hawks, raccoons, and blue herons. The farm also offers freeze-dried foods and has a country store. Equine therapy with horses is another unique aspect of the farm.
