Background

Founded in 2011 by John and Molly Chester, Apricot Lane Farms spans 234 acres of countryside in Moorpark, California. Known for its integration within a reawakened ecosystem, the farm has gained recognition through the award-winning documentary 'The Biggest Little Farm,' which chronicles the Chesters' journey to create a sustainable farm. The film has been screened in over 275 theaters across the US and released in more than 20 countries worldwide.

Practices

Apricot Lane Farms employs regenerative techniques that mimic nature, focusing on building healthy soil, maximizing biodiversity, and utilizing animals to solve farm challenges. The farm raises cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, and ducks on pastures and within orchards, working in harmony with the dynamic ecosystem. Certified organic and biodynamic, the farm produces over 200 varieties of fruits and vegetables, along with pasture-raised meats and eggs.
