Agape Organics A.K.A. The Apple Basket

Agape Organics, also known as The Apple Basket, stands as the only commercial USDA certified organic apple orchard in Northern Nevada. Located at the base of the Sierra Mountains in Washoe Valley, the orchard is conveniently located just minutes from Reno and Carson City.

The orchard adheres to USDA organic certification standards, ensuring that all farming practices meet strict guidelines for organic production. This includes the use of organic fertilizers, pest control methods, and sustainable land management practices to maintain soil health and ecosystem balance.

Visitors can enjoy picking from four varieties of apples: Braeburn, Cameo, Gala, and Golden Delicious. The orchard features a large grassy area with gazebos, picnic tables, and a children's play area, making it an ideal spot for family outings. Groups are welcomed by appointment, and the orchard opens around the third week of September. Additionally, the garden is open one day a week during the summer, with notifications sent via email to interested parties.
