Background

Located in New Britain, CT, the farm has established itself as a vital part of the community by providing fresh, organic produce to a variety of local businesses and residents. Known for its heirloom and specialty vegetables, the farm has gained recognition, including being voted best Heirloom Veggies by Yankee Magazine.

Practices

The farm adheres to organic farming principles, cultivating a diverse array of heirloom and specialty vegetables, greens, herbs, and some fruits, all Certified Organic. By maintaining a commitment to organic practices, the farm ensures that its produce is free from synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, promoting soil health and biodiversity.

Of note

The farm operates a market every Friday from 2 to 6 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 1 PM, offering a variety of produce and products sourced from neighboring farmers, including corn, stone fruit, berries, potatoes, squashes, honey, eggs, cheese, poultry, meats, and tofu. Additionally, the farm offers two CSA programs each year, one in the summer and one in the winter.
