Background

In 1945, Kenneth Hoffman moved to Atascosa County, Texas, and purchased 10 acres of irrigated farmland, marking the beginning of his lifelong dream. He expanded his farming operations to include cut flowers, vegetables, and cattle. By 1952, Kenneth became the largest strawberry grower in Poteet, Texas, winning numerous awards at the Poteet Strawberry Festival. His legacy continued through his family, who now manage the farm and have introduced a pick-your-own strawberry experience.

Practices

The farm has adapted its operations due to COVID-19, focusing more on pre-picked and pre-ordered retail and wholesale commercial sales. They open for pick-your-own activities primarily on Saturdays during the strawberry season. The farm emphasizes producing the best quality produce while providing excellent service to customers.
