Join us to learn basic gardening skills and build community.

January Volunteer Day:

We'll be starting the year with weeding and maintaining the lavender labyrinth.

About the Garden: The Phoenix Garden is a 6 acre garden with the goals of healing, creating community and teaching gardening. Volunteers are welcome to the monthly 3rd Saturday workdays. UC Cooperative Extension also host educational workshops on composting, beekeeping, pruning and other gardening skills.

Projects Include: At this work day, volunteers will work on...

  • Mulching
  • Pruning
  • Other garden care!

Accessibility Notes: There will be access to a bathrooms and water. Event staff are fluent in Spanish. If you have any questions about accessibility, please reach out to our team!

You should Bring: Please bring garden gloves, refillable water bottles, sun protection, close-toed shoes, and clothes that can get dirty.

Volunteer Service Hours: Service Hours are availible at this event for students, girl scouts and Young Men Service Leauge.
