About the Market
Background
Heritage Farm is a working 1860s farm purchased by the city of Brunswick for use by the Brunswick Area Historical Society. The society is dedicated to restoring the original farmhouse and outbuildings, and the farmhouse is filled with local artifacts. This year marks the bicentennial for the Brunswick/Brunswick Hills community, and the farmhouse will be open for tours.
Practices
The farm operates as a historical site, maintaining the original structures and showcasing farming practices from the 1860s.
The Rest
The market is open to the public every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting June 11, offering free parking, including handicapped parking, and a paved path. Visitors can enjoy free tours of the historic farmhouse, a scavenger hunt for kids, and live music. Guest appearances by characters from the community's past add to the experience.
