Mabou Farmers Market

Since 2007, this farmers market has grown from just six vendors at the waterfront to up to 25 vendors at the more sheltered Mabou Arena.

Vendors at the market offer free range chicken, pork, lamb, fish, and eggs, emphasizing humane animal husbandry and local sourcing. Fresh local vegetables and fruit are also available.

Visitors can enjoy fair trade coffee or tea, sweets, and live music while shopping for a variety of products including herbs, vinegars, jams, jellies, Cape Breton honey, Nova Scotia wines, hand-crafted jewelry, leather goods, natural skin care products, hand-carved wooden spoons, turned wood products, weaving, knitting, dyed fabrics, Christmas gifts, handcrafts, and home baking.
