About the Farm
Background
Riehm Produce Farm has a five-generation family legacy, starting with George and Leonard in the mid-1950s. The farm expanded in 1965 to include strawberries, and John took over in 1978, growing tomatoes and other vegetables. The roadside stand began in 1985 and has grown to include a wide variety of produce and farm products. The CSA program started in 2006, and Phil's return in 2015 has further developed the farm's offerings.
Practices
The farm employs organic practices, testing produce to ensure high nutritional value. They use seven greenhouses and several hoop tunnels to extend the growing season to nine months. The farm also raises beef without hormones or antibiotics and grows soybeans, corn, and hay for livestock.
The Rest
Riehm Produce Farm offers a 20-week Summer CSA Box with customizable options, and a Fall/Winter season farm share. The farm hosts events like Corn Maze & Barnyard Fun, and provides a variety of products through partnerships with local vendors. The farm also includes a roadside stand and PopUp Days, which were popularized during the 2019 pandemic.
