About the Farm
Background
Named after the owner's great-great-grandmother, Long Hearing Woman, the farm embodies resilience, adaptability, and a reciprocal relationship with the land. The farm is a rural workers co-op committed to feeding families in the foothills of the North Cascades Mountains.
Practices
The farm manages 40 acres, dedicating about 3 acres to growing organic vegetables. They emphasize organic farming methods and a deep commitment to land-based healing and transformation.
The Rest
The farm runs a weekly Farmshare program from June to October, delivering vegetables to various local communities. They also operate a self-serve Farmstand in Darrington during the summer and distribute produce to farm to school programs, local and tribal food pantries, and the Skagit Valley Co-op.
