About the Farm
Background
The story began among long rows of beets and kale in Ferndale during the summer of 2015 when Aubrey moved from the California central coast and met Ben on a vegetable farm. In 2017, they started Fair Curve Farm, transforming 4 acres from perennial pasture to an organically-grown vegetable farm ready for production in 2018. Despite a hectic first year, their determination led them to become Certified Organic, growing their business to accommodate around 100 CSA members annually and supplying local markets, grocery stores, and restaurants. In 2021, they welcomed their first child, Lowell, making it a family farm.
Practices
The farm is Certified Organic, focusing on high-quality, nutrient-dense produce. They emphasize the importance of nurturing friendships, supporting local businesses, and playing an active role in their community. Their mission includes creating a sustainable life for themselves and their soils, driven by a love for the land and their local ecosystem.
The Rest
The farm hosts a plant sale in May, offering vegetable, herb, and flower starts. They also run a farmstand every Saturday from June to December, selling their Certified Organic produce along with eggs, sourdough bread, and other seasonal items from local producers. The farmstand is located at 600 Main Street in Ferndale, and they accept cash, card, and EBT.
