About the Farm
Background
Following the decision to cultivate a rural lifestyle, the Grimaud family moved from France to the USA in 2000. This journey eventually landed them on 10 acres of rolling hills with a desire to grow lavender, France's quintessential crop. Since then, they have been sharing the magic of lavender with visitors, providing a vibrant splash of color and heady fragrance to the Walla Walla Valley.
Practices
The farm cultivates 25 varieties of lavender on 2 acres, emphasizing the beauty and utility of this versatile plant. Their approach intertwines the cultivation of lavender with the local ecosystem, offering a serene environment that encourages visitors to slow down and savor the natural surroundings. The manicured grounds and backdrop of the Blue Mountains create a picturesque setting for photographers, painters, and those who appreciate la joie de vivre.
The Rest
The farm offers a variety of amenities and experiences, including free entrance, lavender U-pick, and a farm boutique filled with artisanal lavender goods such as dried bouquets, sachets, essential oil, bath & body products, and culinary treats. Visitors can enjoy fresh-squeezed lavender lemonade and lavender lattes at designated times, participate in lavender craft classes, and make use of on-site picnic facilities. Special events like 'Meet the Farmer' sessions and story hours add to the charm of the visit.
