About the Farm
Background
Yoder's Fine Foods, originally known as Yoder's Cider Barn, began in 1975 as a custom cider pressing operation run by Levi and Wilma Yoder. Initially a fall-only business, it expanded in 1987 to produce apple butter and various jams. By 1994, the company had diversified further, adding 40 new varieties of jam and fruit butters. In 1996, the business was passed to sons Sheldon and Steve. The name was changed to Yoder's Fine Foods in 2007 to better reflect its expanded product line. Levi Yoder passed away in 2013, leaving a legacy continued by his family.
Practices
Yoder's Fine Foods is committed to producing high-quality, unpasteurized cider, despite increasing regulations. Their products, including jams, jellies, and apple butters, are made from locally grown apples and other pure fruit ingredients, sweetened with pure cane sugar and free from preservatives.
The Rest
Yoder's Fine Foods employs 14 full-time workers and welcomes visitors year-round. Their product line includes unique offerings such as Blue Blazes Jam, Cherry Jalapeno Jam, and various fruit butters. The business emphasizes gratitude for divine blessings and customer support.
