About the Farm
Background
In 2012, Ashley and Eric Yeager expanded their family garden to one acre to meet the demand from family, friends, and neighbors. By 2013, they began selling their surplus produce through word of mouth. Initially, the 45-acre property was used for hay harvesting or left unattended. The farm has been gradually expanding its cultivated area each year since 2014.
Practices
The farm grows everything completely organic, using in-house compost and eschewing chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Chickens are used primarily for pest control and egg production.
The Rest
The farm has partnered with the assistance program 'It's From The Heart' to set up a farm stand near US Highway 70 in Lone Grove. A portion of sales from this location supports local families in need by providing toys, clothing, and school supplies.
