About the Farm
Background
Originally a dairy farm, the 300 historic acres in upstate New York have been reclaimed and restored to raise grass-fed beef, pastured pork, free-range chickens, and turkeys. The farm has restored existing structures and added new facilities that stay true to its heritage and purpose.
Practices
The farm employs sustainable and responsible practices, many of which were used by farmers for centuries before detrimental changes were made to the industry in the 20th century. Animals are raised as nature intended, with cows grazing on grass in open pastures, and pigs, chickens, and turkeys raised in open pastures and fed an all-natural diet without growth hormones or antibiotics. This results in cleaner, healthier, and more flavorful meat and eggs.
The Rest
The farm offers a range of experiences and products, including farmstays in a newly renovated original farmhouse, farm weddings in a cozy, romantic barn, and a farm store and butcher shop that provide pastured meats, eggs, fruit, honey, and other locally-produced foods. The farm is located near cultural and historical landmarks, making it an ideal destination for visitors.
